Orthopedic care

Orthopedists are doctors who take care of the entire musculoskeletal system. They diagnose and treat conditions such as sprains, strains, broken bones, arthritis and osteoporosis. Some of the treatments they offer include recommending lifestyle changes, applying casts and performing surgeries, such as ligament repairs or total joint replacements.

Joint replacement surgery

When conservative treatments are not effective at easing your joint pain, your doctor may recommend joint replacement surgery. As a Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement by Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), we offer several joint replacement procedures to help treat joint injuries and arthritis.

We provide the following joint replacement surgeries:

  • Hip replacement surgery, including total hip replacement and hip resurfacing
  • Knee replacement surgery, including total and partial knee replacements
  • Shoulder replacement surgery, including total, partial and reverse total shoulder replacements

We perform a high volume of joint replacement procedures every year. Our physicians have extensive expertise when it comes to joint replacement, which is proven through our hospital's readmission rate and length of stay rate being lower than the state's average.

Spine care

The spine is one of the most complex structures in the human body. Our neurologists and orthopedic surgeons work together to provide orthopedic and neurological care for a variety of spine conditions, including herniated discs, nerve pain, spinal stenosis and scoliosis.

Our specialists offer a range of surgical treatments to treat chronic neck and back pain. Many of our spine surgeries can be performed with minimally invasive techniques, which may result in a shorter recovery time.

Orthopedic rehabilitation

Physical therapy and rehabilitation are a vital part of comprehensive orthopedic care. Sometimes, physical therapy is used as a primary method of treatment to stretch and work injured ligaments, tendons and joints. Other times, rehabilitation is key to restoring movement following orthopedic surgery, such as a joint replacement.

We offer physical therapy and rehabilitation services at our outpatient therapy center. Here, our physical therapists and rehabilitation team are highly trained to treat musculoskeletal problems and orthopedic injuries.
