Orthopedic care

Orthopedic doctors, called orthopedists, take care of your bones and joints. This includes knee pain, total joint replacement, issues that impact your spine and more. You might need to see an orthopedist if you have arthritis or osteoporosis, or if you've had a recent sprain, strain or broken bone.

Orthopedic services and treatments

We offer the following treatments and services:

Comprehensive orthopedic care

At The Orthopedic & Spine Center, we provide complete services and amenities to help manage and treat orthopedic conditions.

When surgery is necessary, we have eight dedicated, private orthopedic suites to ensure you are in a comfortable environment as you heal. During your stay, we provide you and your family with additional support and access to a variety of services to help you recover.

Additionally, our rehabilitation program works closely with the hospital care team and discharge planners to create a thorough continuum of care, from inpatient to outpatient services.

Back and spine care

Our spine care program offers a wide variety of treatment options, from physical therapy to surgery. You can count on our team to help treat any back or neck pain you may be experiencing.

Joint care

Our orthopedic doctors provide bone and joint care as well as surgery. Specifically, joint surgery can help treat pain due to an injury, arthritis or wear and tear. We provide a variety of joint procedures, including:

  • Minimally invasive joint arthroscopy
  • Total and partial hip replacements
  • Total and partial knee replacements
  • Total and partial shoulder replacements

Foot and ankle care

We know how much foot and ankle pain can significantly impact your mobility and quality of life. Our foot and ankle specialists use advanced technology to treat conditions of the lower extremities, including sports-related injuries and fractures.

Pediatric orthopedics

The pediatric orthopedic specialists at The Children's Hospital of Palms West are specially trained to care for children. From broken bones to complex disorders, our team provides advanced pediatric orthopedic care in a family-friendly environment.

We diagnose and treat all facets of a child’s skeletal health, including trauma, fractures and injuries. Our team also has expertise in the management of congenital problems, such as:

  • Growth disorders and developmental delays
  • Hip and foot anomalies
  • Neuromuscular disorders
  • Spinal deformities

Additionally, our surgical expertise includes advanced techniques in:

  • Foot and hip reconstruction
  • Muscular reconstruction
  • Spinal reconstruction
  • Tendon transfers
  • Sports medicine procedures
  • Skeletal trauma care

Should your child have an orthopedic emergency, we offer emergency care for orthopedic injuries 24/7 in our pediatric emergency room (ER). We also provide pediatric rehabilitation services to help your child recover from an orthopedic injury or surgery.

Sports medicine

We offer injury prevention and assessment, health and fitness training, injury treatment and rehabilitation for all ages and skill levels.

Nonsurgical, surgical and rehabilitative options are designed to help you return to your full ability and reduce the risk for re-injury. When surgery is necessary, we take a minimally invasive approach whenever possible. These minimally invasive techniques typically offer smaller incisions, faster healing and less postoperative pain.

Rehabilitation services

Because many orthopedic and spine surgeries require postoperative physical therapy and rehabilitation, we have an on-site outpatient rehabilitation center. Here, you can receive any physical, occupational or aquatic therapy services you may need.
