PGY2 pharmacy residency program

The HCA Florida North Florida Hospital Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) PGY2 pharmacy residency program builds on PGY-1 residency outcomes to prepare pharmacists to assume high level leadership, management and supervisory responsibilities. This comprehensive program emphasizes the development of leadership and management abilities by fostering growth and learning in future pharmacy leaders.

The Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) PGY2 pharmacy residency program builds on PGY1 residency outcomes to prepare pharmacists to assume high level leadership, management, and supervisory responsibilities. The HSPAL Residency is a comprehensive program that emphasizes the development of leadership and management abilities, with the goal of fostering growth and learning in future pharmacy leaders. After a month-long orientation to the Department of Pharmacy, the resident begins a series of concentrated and longitudinal learning activities designed to meet the goals and objectives of the HSPAL residency program. The resident will interact with leaders from division, throughout the department of pharmacy, the hospital and senior leadership. The program's goal is to develop the resident into a competent and confident professional in core areas of pharmacy leadership excellence.

Minnimum entrance requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
  • Completion of PGY-1 accredited pharmacy residency program
  • Applicants are accepted through the ASHP matching Program and PhORCAS only
  • Acquire Florida pharmacist license within 90 days of residency start date
