St. Petersburg, FL — HCA Florida Northside Hospital is proud to announce it has been named Large Business of the Year by Pinellas Park Gateway Chamber of Commerce. The hospital was recognized for its significant investments, clinical excellence, and longstanding commitment to the community.

Over the past year, Northside Hospital has invested more than $25 million in facility enhancements and technology upgrades that prioritize patient safety, quality, and access to advanced care. These investments include new innovative equipment inside a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab, MRI, and advanced CT imaging with sophisticated heart imaging capabilities, along with a comprehensive and ongoing facility refresh.

The hospital serves tens of thousands patients each and delivers nationally recognized heart and stroke care, along with advanced ortho-spine care. This means patients in Pinellas Park and the greater Pinellas County have access to advanced, life-saving care close to home.

Beyond clinical excellence, Northside Hospital remains deeply invested in the community. The hospital provided more than $15 million in charity care, along with financial and volunteer support for local organizations and schools in the community.

Hospital leaders called the recognition an honor and a privilege, noting their role as a large business committed to expanding access to healthcare for all — helping ensure the community continues to thrive today and for generations to come.
