St. Petersburg, FL — Today, as the sun rose over the start of Nurses Week, Northside Hospital came together to remember Tara McClintock, who was tragically killed in an accident last week.
Tara began her Northside Hospital career as a nurse on the intermediate care unit, earned her RN pin in 2022 and recently achieved her goal of becoming a critical care nurse in the hospital’s Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
“Although her time with us was too short, Tara made the kind of impact on this world we should all strive to leave, with the high privilege we have to truly care for others,” said Lauren Buker, nurse leader at HCA Florida Northside Hospital.
Her dedication to patients and commitment to excellence embodied the Florence Nightingale Pledge, which calls on nurses to devote themselves to service and uphold the highest ideals of the profession.
Hospital leaders say Tara’s memory serves as a powerful reminder of the passion and compassion nurses bring; every action, every patient, every time.
