Inverness, FL — HCA Florida Healthcare leaders joined community leaders, first responders and partners today to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of HCA Florida Black Diamond Emergency, a new freestanding emergency department serving Citrus County.
The more than 10,000-square-foot facility represents a $16 million investment in the growing Black Diamond community and surrounding areas. The new emergency room will provide 24/7 full-service emergency care with 14 treatment spaces, onsite laboratory services, X-ray and CT imaging to ensure rapid diagnosis and treatment.
Following the ceremony, guests toured the facility as the team prepares to open the emergency room to the public in the coming weeks.
“This beautiful, more than 10,000-square-foot freestanding emergency room represents a significant investment — $16 million — and an even greater commitment to meeting the needs of this fast-growing area,” said Lisa Nummi, CEO of HCA Florida Citrus Hospital. “This facility is designed to ensure residents and visitors have access to high-quality emergency care right where they live and work, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
HCA Florida Black Diamond Emergency is the first freestanding emergency room in Citrus County affiliated with HCA Florida Citrus Hospital and extends the trusted care the community relies on while connecting patients to HCA Florida Healthcare’s statewide network of more than 650 affiliated sites of care.
The facility is currently undergoing final preparations and is expected to open soon.
