Hudson, Fla. — HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital today celebrated the grand opening of two newly upgraded cardiac catheterization laboratories, including a state‑of‑the‑art hybrid operating room and a fully renovated procedure suite. The investment expands the hospital’s cardiovascular capabilities and supports its commitment to providing high-quality, innovative heart care to the community.
The hybrid room combines advanced imaging technology with a fully functional operating environment, allowing cardiologists and surgeons to perform complex, minimally invasive procedures with enhanced precision. The renovated cath lab suite features upgraded imaging systems, improved workflow design and a more comfortable environment for patients and clinical teams.
“This expansion reflects our ongoing commitment to bring world‑class heart care to the people we serve,” said Sally Seymour, CEO of HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. “Our region continues to grow and with that growth comes the need for advanced cardiovascular services. These upgraded labs will allow our teams to deliver exceptional, life‑saving care using the most advanced technology available.”
The ribbon‑cutting ceremony today brought together hospital leaders, physicians, colleagues and members of the cardiovascular care team who helped plan and execute the extensive modernization project.
“Our new hybrid suite represents a major step forward for our cardiology program,” said Chrissy Walker, director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. “This technology gives our clinicians greater flexibility, better imaging and more room to collaborate during complex procedures. Ultimately, it means our patients receive the highest level of care in the safest environment.”
HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital has long been recognized for its cardiovascular expertise and remains one of the region’s leading providers of cardiac and vascular services. In 2026 Healthgrades recognized HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital as a Five-Star Recipient for Coronary Interventional Procedures for 5 years in a Row and a Five-Star Recipient for Coronary Bypass Surgery. The opening of these upgraded labs further enhances the hospital’s ability to diagnose, treat, and manage advanced heart conditions close to home.
