Urmila J. Patel, MD

Born in India, Urmila came to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1972 and became an American citizen. Having graduated medical school at Gandhi Medical College in India, she did her OB/GYN internship and residency in Connecticut and finished her training at St. Thomas Hospital Medical School in Akron, Ohio. She is proud of the fact that she is one of the earliest OB/GYN laparoscopists and continues to have a passion for this area of women's treatment. Urmila has one daughter. Her hobbies include golf
