He then completed an internal medicine residency from Georgetown University Hospital and a cardiology fellowship from Loyola University Medical Center. Dr. Rao completed an interventional cardiology fellowship from Scripps Clinic - Prebys Cardiovascular Institute in La Jolla, California.
