Michael Tedla, MD

Born and raised in Ethiopia, Michael Tedla is the youngest of 4 children. His mother was a schoolteacher, and his father was Manager at SOS Children's village (non-governmental organization focused on supporting children without parental care and families at risk).

Michael Tedla knew he wanted to be a doctor at a young age living in underserved communities. He joined Jimma University, one of the only 3 internationally accredited medical schools in Ethiopia at the time. After obtain
