Biography
Edmund Witkowski, MD has been a partner with Suncoast Orthopaedic Institute since the year 2000.

He is fellowship trained in both Sports Medicine and Adult Reconstruction surgery (Joint Replacement) and is the only Orthopaedic surgeon in the Venice and Englewood area with fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction/Joint Replacement. His years in practice with Suncoast Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group, and the U.S. military have given him extensive experience in complex fr
Care Philosophy
Though I always look for nonsurgical solutions first, there are times when surgery is the best or only answer. This doesn't always mean the latest technique; sometimes the tried-and-true methods work better for some patients than recent techniques. My medical education helps me make a proper diagnosis for each patient based on his or her needs. I deal with injuries nonsurgical whenever practical to make sure your care is safe, effective and comfortable.
