Admission requirements

In order to be admitted into our practical nursing program, we require our applicants to have the following:

1. Official high school transcripts or G.E.D. test scores. Transcripts from an educational institution located outside of the United States must be translated in English by a U.S. Department of Education approved provider of translation services. Transcripts from outside of the United States must be equivalency validated by a U.S. Department of Education approved provider of equivalency validation services.
2. Official college or vocational transcripts for any courses taken.
3. Pre-entrance Exam:

Satisfaction of the pre-entrance exam may occur in one of the following options:

1. Passing score of 52 or greater on the ATI TEAS test
2. Passing score of 78 or greater on the Multilevel PAX exam
3. Passing score of 18 or greater on the ACT exam
4. Passing score of 980 or greater on the SAT exam
5. Passing composite score of 60 on the HESI A2 exam
6. Demonstrate evidence of a previously earned associate degree or higher degree from a post-secondary institution in the United States
7. Demonstrate evidence of a previously earned associate degree or higher degree from another country validated from an approved United States Department of Education provider of validation and translation services
   • Completed Background check.
   • American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR completed by the first day of school and remaining in effect until graduation.

The following are not required for application, but must be completed or show evidence indicating completion before full admission to the program:

1. Completion of the medical form by a licensed approved health care provider.
2. A negative tuberculin skin test (PPD), QuantiFERON-TB Gold (QFT), or negative Chest X-Ray
3. Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps (MMR), and Varicella titers or proof of immunity by a licensed approved healthcare provider.
4. Drug screen showing no illegal drugs.
5. Evidence of Hepatitis B Vaccine Series completion or declaration form completed.
6. Evidence of current Flu vaccine or declination form completed.
7. Evidence of complete COVID-19 Vaccination
