Shannon Piatkowski to join Englewood Hospital as Vice President of Operations.

Shannon Piatkowski will join HCA Florida Englewood Hospital as Vice President of Operations on March 3, 2025. 

Shannon is an accomplished leader with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, 16 of those years at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. She is currently serving as the Hillsborough Market Ethics and Compliance Officer. 

Prior to that, she served as Assistant Administrator at Brandon Hospital and interim VP of Operations at South Shore Hospital.  During this time, Shannon also led several construction projects, including three free-standing emergency departments.  During part of her time at Brandon Hospital, Shannon served as the Senior IT Director of the Hillsborough zone. In this role, she oversaw IT operations at six HCA Healthcare West Florida Division Hospitals, three free-standing emergency departments, and five surgery centers. 

In her early years with HCA Healthcare, Shannon worked as a phlebotomist and EKG technician at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL.  

Shannon holds a Juris Master's degree from Florida State University School of Law, a Master of Business Administration from Morehead State University, and her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of South Florida. She also holds certificates in Personal Care Assistance (PCA), Electrocardiography (EKG), and Phlebotomy.

Shannon has strong communication and relationship skills and a passion for measurable outcomes. She will no doubt use her experience to help us accelerate growth and achieve operational excellence.   

She has had a home in Charlotte County for many years. Shannon said, "I am looking forward to joining Team Englewood and serving in an area I call home."
