Three new board members appointed at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital
Loxahatchee, FL — HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of three new members to its board of trustees.
Joining the hospital board are Elliot Bonner, Jr., Dr. James J. Goad and State Representative Meg Weinberger.
Bonner currently serves as the executive director of Power Marketing at NextEra Energy Marketing and as Mayor Pro Tem for the Town of Manalapan. Additionally, he sits on the Board of Directors for the Neil S. Hirsch Family Boys & Girls Club of Wellington and is founder and president of Raise Up Youth Athletics, a nonprofit organization that donates new and gently used sports equipment to Title 1 schools and underserved youth programs in Palm Beach and Broward counties.
Dr. James J. Goad is a board-certified general surgeon for HCA Florida Palm Beach Surgical Specialists. His specialties include robotic and laparoscopic surgery including breast, hernia, colorectal, biliary and oncology surgery. He has been named a master robotic surgeon by Surgical Review Corporation. He currently has privileges at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital, HCA Florida JFK Hospital, Palms West Surgicenter and Wellington Regional Hospital.
Meg Weinberger is a sophomore in the Florida State House, representative District 94, which includes HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. Weinberger has spent more than 10 years running Rescue Life, an animal sanctuary for abused animals. She is also a supporter of Place of Hope, Special Olympic Hometown Foundation and is a former vice president and board member of Big Dog Ranch Rescue, in Loxahatchee. In addition to local organizations, Weinberger also serves on the board of Stetson University.
