Oviedo, FL — Oviedo Medical Center, part of HCA Florida Healthcare, is honored to announce several national recognitions that underscore the hospital’s commitment to high-quality patient care.
Oviedo Medical Center earned a grade of “A” this spring from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. Leapfrog assigns letter grades to hospitals across the country based on more than 30 performance measures.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program focused solely on preventable medical errors, infections and injuries.

Additionally, Oviedo Medical Center received the 2026 Patient Safety Excellence Award™ this spring from Healthgrades®, the No. 1 site Americans use to find a doctor or hospital. Healthgrades also recognized the hospital this year as a five-star recipient for exceptional clinical outcomes in several categories including treatment of hip fracture, total hip replacement and sepsis.
