Oviedo Medical Center begins construction on new HCA Florida Alafaya Emergency

Orlando, FL  — Oviedo Medical Center, affiliated with HCA Florida Healthcare, is pleased to announce the start of construction on the cutting-edge HCA Florida Alafaya Emergency, located at 1434 N. Alafaya Trail in Orlando, Florida.

Anticipated to open its doors in spring 2024, this state-of-the-art facility spans approximately 11,000 square feet and is poised to serve over 300,000 local residents. The facility will employ around 40 full-time healthcare professionals committed to delivering top-tier emergency care.

HCA Florida Alafaya Emergency is designed to function as a comprehensive emergency room, staffed by physicians specializing in emergency medicine, skilled nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Offering the same advanced capabilities as a main hospital emergency room, the facility will have 11 emergency exam rooms, along with on-site CT scan, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and laboratory services. It will be fully equipped to care for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
