Loxahatchee, FL — HCA Florida Palms West Hospital celebrated the groundbreaking of its new freestanding emergency room in West Palm Beach, expanding access to emergency services for Palm Beach County's growing communities. The facility will be located at 6694 Okeechobee Blvd.
The state-of-the-art freestanding emergency room will feature 11 treatment rooms, advanced imaging and laboratory services, and board-certified emergency physicians and experienced care teams equipped to treat a wide range of illnesses and injuries for patients of all ages. The facility will provide the same level of emergency care as a hospital-based emergency department, including treatment for life-threatening conditions.
"This groundbreaking reflects our continued investment in the future of healthcare for Palm Beach County," said Cory Mead, chief executive officer of HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. "By expanding access to emergency services, we're strengthening our ability to serve our growing community while ensuring patients have timely access to advanced emergency care close to home."
Construction is expected to be completed in Spring 2027.
