New Chief Medical Officer at HCA Florida Largo Hospital
Largo, FL — HCA Florida Largo Hospital is proud to announce the appointment of Kapil Mehta, MD as the hospital’s new chief medical officer (CMO). Dr. Mehta brings a strong background in clinical strategy, operations and quality excellence to this role.
Dr. Mehta most recently served as the medical director for quality and safety at Ascension St. Vincent, a position he held since 2020. In this role, he spearheaded key initiatives to continually improve patient outcomes and safety.

Dr. Mehta earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Indiana University Bloomington, and a Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
