Panama City, FL — Residents of Bay and surrounding counties will have additional access to emergent care as Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center is set to open the new Panama City ER on June 29, 2020. Panama City ER will operate 24/7 providing care to patients of all ages and created approximately 30 new full-time healthcare professionals. The new $11.5 million, 10,820-square-foot, full-service freestanding emergency department will feature 11 private rooms and will be located north of Transmitter Road at 3711 U.S. Highway 231 in Panama City.

"While continuing to expand our Gulf Coast Regional facility, we saw an opportunity to bring emergency care closer to the residents of Panama City," says Brad Griffin, Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center CEO. "We believe this freestanding emergency room will provide our patients an extended more convenient, high-level experience for emergent care. We are excited about the opening of Panama City ER and plan to continue expanding healthcare services in this area so we can best meet the needs of this growing community."
