HCA Florida Highlands Hospital is pleased to welcome Anjelis Oliveira, PhD, MSN, MHA, RN, as its new chief nursing officer, effective April 20, 2026.
“Anjelis is known for her integrity, empathy and accountability and for fostering environments where nurses are empowered to deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality care,” said Jen Boren, chief nursing executive at HCA’s Healthcare’s East Florida Division. “Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing nursing practice, strengthening team engagement and improving patient experience.”
Anjelis holds over 20 years of experience in nursing. She most recently served as assistant chief nursing officer at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where she provided operational and clinical leadership across multiple high-acuity patient care areas, focusing on quality and safety, workforce engagement, regulatory readiness and performance outcomes. Since joining HCA Healthcare in 2019, Anjelis has held several key leadership roles, including Magnet program director, where she led the hospital's Pathway to Excellence journey, medical/surgical director, and director of emergency services at their Doral and Town & Country freestanding emergency rooms.
Anjelis earned a PhD in nursing from Barry University, a master’s degree in nursing and healthcare administration from the University of Phoenix, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Florida International University, all in Miami, Florida. She serves as adjunct nursing faculty at St. Thomas University, contributing to the development of future nurse leaders.
