Bobbie Owens

Bobbie Owens has lived with scoliosis since she was a young child. In 2020, the disease began to affect her day to day activities including difficulty using her hands, legs, working and most importantly, playing with her nine year old grandson. Bobbie underwent back surgery in hopes of a better quality of life but was left with continued challenges.

When Bobbie arrived at Orange Park Hospital’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, she had difficulty walking and performing normal activities of daily living. She spent eight short days in rehab before she was ready to go home. With the support of her family, she felt great about her ability to care for herself and was excited to get back to work and playing sports with her grandson.

At Orange Park Hospital’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Center Bobbie was welcomed with open arms. Bobbie shared, “Everyone was so helpful in making me feel comfortable while I had to be away from home.” Feeling prepared to continue her recovery at home, Bobbie says she owes it all to her therapists and nurses. “Nurse Char was a lifesaver.”
