Diagnostic heart screening and imaging services

We provide advanced heart screening and imaging services, including:

  • Echocardiograms
  • Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
  • Holter monitoring
  • Nuclear medicine
  • Stress tests

We also perform other diagnostic services, such as cardiac catheterization.

Cardiovascular services

Our nationally accredited cardiovascular program offers a wide range of nonsurgical and surgical treatment options, including various minimally invasive surgeries.

With our full range of cardiology services and treatments, our heart doctors can help you reach optimal heart health, correct abnormalities and restore blood flow to the heart. We also determine your cardiovascular disease risk factors before any long-term damage is done.

Heart arrhythmia treatments

An arrhythmia, or abnormal heart rhythm, occurs when the heart’s electrical system isn't functioning properly. To diagnose arrhythmias, our highly skilled electrophysiologists use our electrophysiology (EP) laboratory to perform diagnostic EP studies.

Once the source of the irregularity is identified, our heart care team may offer one of the following treatment options:

  • Ablation therapy
  • Cardioversion
  • Defibrillator implantation
  • Pacemaker insertion

Heart attack treatments

Our emergency room (ER) is prepared to provide lifesaving heart attack care 24/7. In fact, it offers you access to some of the most advanced technology and cardiac expertise in the state.

We work together with emergency medicine physicians to quickly apply stringent, proven standards of care that produce the best possible outcomes for you. This reduces your chances of hospital readmission and helps prevent extensive damage to your heart.

Heart disease treatments

Our cardiac team is committed to providing lifesaving treatment for all types of heart disease to help you improve your heart health.

Some of the treatments we recommend and offer include:

  • Lifestyle changes — We will develop a plan to help you make healthy lifestyle changes that either decrease your risk of developing heart disease or help eliminate or control your heart disease. These lifestyle changes often include increasing your exercise levels, eating a healthier diet and quitting smoking.
  • Medications — The type of medication prescribed will depend on the type of heart disease you have. These can include angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, aspirin, blood thinners, clot-dissolving medications or digoxin.
  • Surgery — When other treatments aren't successful, we may determine you are a good candidate for heart or vascular surgery. The type of surgery depends on the type of heart disease you have but may include bypass, stenting, device implantation, valve repair or other procedures.

Heart failure treatments

Heart failure occurs when your heart gets weaker over time and can no longer function at its peak capacity. When this happens, cardiologists at our Advanced Heart Failure Center work with you to determine the best course of care for you.

Your comprehensive health failure treatment may include:

  • Device implantations
  • Heart failure medications
  • Heart transplant
  • Infusion therapy
  • Lifestyle changes

Heart transplant surgery

This surgery may be the best solution when all other options have been exhausted in treating heart failure or other heart conditions.

The transplant qualifying process and journey can be a challenging one, but our dedicated transplant team is here to help. They will offer you support and experienced care every step of the way.

Other heart and vascular surgical treatments

Our heart doctors may recommend surgery when other treatment options prove ineffective or when surgical care is simply the best treatment option.

Some of the minimally invasive and traditional heart and vascular surgeries we perform include:

  • Angioplasty and stenting
  • Bypass surgery
  • Heart valve repair and replacement
  • Hemodialysis (vascular) access placement
  • Left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation
  • Pacemaker implantation
