Volunteers

If you are motivated to donate your time and talents, we invite you to join the dedicated volunteers at HCA Florida Largo Hospital in Largo, FL.

Your time, talent and special touch are greatly needed. In return, enjoy new friendships and a great deal of personal satisfaction.

HCA Florida Largo Hospital's volunteer program welcomes people of all ages. Our volunteers are retirees, professionals, homemakers, students, part-time residents and men and women of all backgrounds who live in surrounding communities. They are very special people who have one common purpose—they want to help others and make a difference.

Ways you can make a difference

You don't need special skills or training to become a volunteer. Every volunteer brings their interests, talents and experience to our volunteer program, and each plays a unique and important role.

Each prospective volunteer is interviewed, and together, we determine where your interests and skills best fit. Once you have chosen your service area, you will receive a thorough orientation and on-the-job training. Volunteers are assigned to work one three-hour shift per week, and many of our dedicated volunteers work more frequently.

Benefits of volunteering

In addition to helping others and meeting new friends, you may also enjoy the chance to learn new skills and develop new interests. As a volunteer at one of HCA Florida Largo Hospital's locations, you will be invited to an annual recognition banquet, participate in hospital social activities and receive a volunteer jacket, service pins and a complimentary meal in the hospital cafeteria for each three-hour shift worked. The rewards are great!
