At HCA Florida Brandon Hospital, our pediatric emergency department is equipped to care for emergencies that require immediate medical attention. Our facility is designed to meet kids' needs with child-sized medical equipment and a separate entrance and waiting area for your family. Our team of board-certified pediatric emergency physicians and specialized pediatric trained nurses work together to provide state-of the art care for children of all ages.

Our children's emergency room was designed with your child and family in mind. With our highly trained staff and kid-friendly environment and techniques, we provide comforting, family-centered emergency care.

Located next to the main emergency department, our children's emergency room features:

  • 16 private treatment rooms
  • Calm, child-centered environment
  • Child safe techniques, equipment and medicine to minimize pain and painful procedures
  • Compassionate and supportive caregivers
  • Pediatric radiologists and anesthesiologists
  • Separate children's emergency room entrance and waiting area

Our pediatric expertise

If your child needs continued treatment after receiving emergency treatment, we have specialists in a wide range of practice areas who will provide compassionate care.

Board-certified pediatric physicians

Our board-certified pediatric emergency physicians have three years of general pediatrician training, as well as three additional years of training in children's emergency medicine. They are on-site from 7:00am - 11:00pm daily.

For children who need to be admitted, we have a specialized children's unit and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) where families are supported by a team dedicated to helping your child heal in a safe, nurturing environment.
