Beautiful dedication celebrates opening of new chapel at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital
The new chapel provides a sanctuary for the loved ones of patients.
Music filled the new chapel prior to the dedication, celebrating that it was now open to visitors, patients and caregivers at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. The stained-glass entry welcomes those seeking a quiet space to reflect and pray. Angela Anderson, pastoral care manager at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital, thanked the attendees for coming to the dedication and shared her heartfelt words of appreciation to everyone who supported the project.
“I feel that it is an honor to be a part of this chapel dedication. It could not have happened without the support of both Tripp Owings, chief executive officer (CEO) and Kelly Lindsay, chief operating officer (COO). We wanted to provide a chapel for patients’ friends and family members to pray at the hospital and expand pastoral services. I believe with God, nothing is impossible,” said Anderson.
“The mission of HCA Healthcare is to provide compassionate care to those in need. Now, we have a chapel, a quiet sanctuary that provides a place of peace and comfort for our patients’ loved ones and our caregivers. We have also started to receive requests for pastoral care to provide greater support to our community,” said Kelly Lindsay, chief operating officer at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital.
The new chapel is open 24/7 and is most easily accessed via the Green Tower main entrance, adjacent to the new registration and lobby. Both newly renovated interior spaces are a part of the modernization project for Brandon Hospital. The South Tower garage is the closest and most convenient for parking. The hospital team thanks vocalist, Hannah Vieira, and keyboardist, Pastor Jason Vega, from Arise Ministeries, whose music made the dedication so memorable.
