Bariatric Surgery at Palms of Pasadena Hospital gives life back to a young mother - the story of Caitlyn

The Bariatric Surgery team at Palms of Pasadena hospital takes pride in meeting the unique needs of every patient we serve.  Working with patients to improve their health and quality of life is the foundation of our program.  Now we share the story of a young mother’s success:

“Last year I started my journey with Dr. Prebish at Palms of Pasadena Hospital. I was 266 pounds with a BMI of 45.8. I did not fit into roller coasters, and I was uncomfortable in my vehicle and my skin. I could not walk across the street to take my daughter to the park without having to sit on the bench and take a break. I was trapped. With hard work and the dedication of the team, I have been working my buns off to get my sleeve surgery. I did get my sleeve in November 2020.

Today, six months later, I woke up at 173.3. Today ladies and gents, I am officially no longer in the obese class. I am over the moon, and I feel amazing. I can't thank you all enough for helping me get my life back. I now ride rides without being in pain or needing someone to shove the chair shut. I now am training to join the police cadet program and can pass the BAT test. I can play with my daughter and not only fit in my Jeep, but I can take the doors off and feel confident. Today is a good day! Thank you Dr. Prebish. You are a lifesaver.”
