Our maternity care program
When you choose us for your childbirth experience, you will receive support throughout your pregnancy.
Family-centered childbirth services
We encourage the involvement of family and friends in the birth process. We also provide accommodations for your partner or a loved one to be with you 24 hours a day, during labor and delivery and throughout your hospital stay.
Our physicians, nurses and midwives supply support tools designed to improve your comfort during labor. These items include:
- A birthing ball
- A peanut ball for positioning
- A sound machine for relaxation
- A support stool
- Delivery supplies to support you and your baby
- Positioning support for epidural placement, if requested
After birth, your baby will stay with you in your room. Family members and friends are invited to visit you and your baby as often as you'd like.
Maternity suites
It's important to have the people you want and need close by, but we also understand the importance of privacy. The Family Birthplace's maternity suites are designed so that most mothers can undergo labor, delivery and recovery in the same birthing suite throughout their entire hospital stay.
This system is referred to as labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) care, and ensures you and your family have optimal privacy to share this personal, intimate time together.
Patient-focused maternity suites
It's important to have the people you want and need close by, but we also understand the importance of privacy. We've put an end to the game of "musical doors" where you're continually moved from labor room, to delivery room, to recovery room. Instead, the maternity suites at The Family Birthplace are designed so that most mothers can labor, deliver and recover in the same birthing suite throughout their entire hospital stay. Our physicians, nurses and midwives will come to you, bringing any necessary equipment along with them.
This system is referred to as LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum) care, and ensures you and your family have optimal privacy to share this very personal, intimate time together.
