Our women's health treatments
In addition to providing routine gynecologic care, we also offer treatment for a wide range of women's health conditions.
Pelvic organ prolapse treatment
When pelvic muscles, ligaments or other tissues holding the uterus in place weaken, any organ in the pelvic area may drop out of its normal position, resulting in a "prolapse." Our gynecologists and OB/GYNs offer surgical and nonsurgical treatment options for incomplete and complete prolapse. Some of our treatments include estrogen replacement therapy, Kegel exercise therapy, sacrocolpopexy with a synthetic mesh or vaginal pessary insertion.
Gynecologic surgery
When medication and noninvasive procedures are unable to relieve symptoms, surgery is often an effective treatment for a range of gynecologic conditions. Our physicians are trained in these types of advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive surgery. Together, our team will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan.
Hysterectomy
One common type of gynecologic procedure we perform is a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus and/or reproductive organs). This procedure may be performed using minimally invasive techniques and is used to treat conditions such as endometriosis, noncancerous tumors or fibroids, prolapse or uterine cancer.
Robotic gynecologic surgery
Through this advanced type of minimally invasive surgery, our surgeons use miniature surgical instruments and robotic technology to perform hysterectomies, myomectomies and sacrocolpopexies. In fact, we were the first hospital in the region to perform robotic hysterectomies. As a Epicenter designated Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery, we are a leading hospital in performing and training surgeons in robotic gynecologic procedures in the region.
