The Outpatient Heart Failure Clinic at HCA Florida Northside Hospital assists anyone who is experiencing heart failure.

Our goal is to help bridge the gap between hospital discharge and your follow-up appointment with your primary physician or cardiologist.

Because we provide excellent patient care and outcomes, our heart failure clinic has received national recognition from The American Heart Association (AHA). The AHA awarded us with the Get With the Guidelines — Heart Failure Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. This also recognizes our commitment to research-based treatments for heart failure.

Our heart failure services

We understand the importance of evaluating you quickly if you have heart failure. That’s why we are committed to seeing you as quickly as possible for your first evaluation. 

As an integral part of our cardiology program, we also provide the following services at our clinic:

  • Rapid hospital follow-up care (within 24-72 hours post-discharge)
  • Comprehensive heart failure education for both you and your family
  • Medical therapy (consistent with evidence-based practices)
  • Emergency IV diuretic therapy
