Volunteers

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital offers a variety of volunteer positions for those who want to help the hospital and improve the comfort of our patients.

Volunteering

Volunteers are an important part of the HCA Florida Memorial Hospital team. For many patients and their families, our volunteers are the first people they see when they come through the door and we depend on them to help create a caring and compassionate environment for our patients.

Our volunteers are varied and talented — professionals, retirees, stay-at-home parents, people of all ages. For more information on joining our team, please email us or call our Volunteer Office at (904) 702-6975.

What volunteers can expect

Our volunteer program is known as the Auxiliary. If you have four consecutive hours once a week or more, our Auxiliary may have a spot for you. Our volunteers assist in many areas of the hospital, providing a variety of services which include: ambassador roles, flower delivery, and gift shop staff. We will work with you to find a position that is the right fit for your interests and skills.

Our service creed

"I expect to pass through this life but once. If therefore, there is any kindness I can show, or any good I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, for I shall not pass this way again." — William Penn
