New CEO, Reed Hammond named for Florida Memorial Hospital.
Jacksonville, FL — HCA Florida Memorial Hospital has named Reed Hammond as its next Chief Executive Officer. Hammond comes to Jacksonville from HCA Healthcare’s Frankfort Regional Medical Center (FRMC) in Kentucky, where he has served as CEO for the last four and a half years. Before Kentucky, Reed served as a COO at several large hospitals in Texas and Tennessee.
“I am excited to join a team that is known for delivering high quality care,” said Hammond. “That is a tribute to the medical staff and HCA Healthcare colleagues that raise the bar when it comes to caring for their community.”
Hammond is no stranger to Florida. He earned both his bachelor's degree and master’s in business administration from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
“Reed is a compassionate leader that has a track record of success,” said Hugh C. Tappan, President of HCA Healthcare’s South Atlantic Division. “He will always put his team members and patients first.”
Hammond, his wife and three daughters are excited to get involved in the Jacksonville community.
His first day at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital will be on June 1.
Hammond replaces Bradley Talbert, who was promoted to CEO of HCA Healthcare’s Memorial Health network in Savannah, GA. Talbert was at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital for almost six years.
