Orthopedic care

Orthopedic doctors, called orthopedists, take care of bones and joints. This includes knee pain, total joint replacement, issues that impact your spine and more. You might need to see an orthopedist if you have arthritis or osteoporosis, or if you've had a recent sprain, strain or broken bone.

Orthopedic services we offer

Whether you are dealing with a bone fracture or a dislocated joint, our orthopedic surgeons use the latest surgical techniques to improve your quality of life.

Orthopedic surgery

We perform the following surgical procedures:

  • Arthroscopic surgery of the knee, hip and shoulder
  • Fracture surgery
  • Joint reconstruction of the knee and shoulder
  • Total joint replacement surgery of the knee, hip and shoulder

Total joint replacement surgery

Joints can become damaged or worn with age and overuse, which can be painful. If you experience chronic and severe joint pain, you may want to consider a joint replacement. A joint replacement may be necessary when you experience:

  • A reduction in mobility
  • A severe case rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis
  • Pain while resting

After you meet with one of our orthopedic surgeons and choose to move forward with joint replacement, you will be fitted for an orthopedic prosthesis. This will act as the replacement to your knee, hip or shoulder joint and will provide you with more mobility than before.

Post-surgery rehabilitation

After your surgery, we offer physical therapy and rehabilitation to help you heal and recover. Our team will work with you to determine your needs and create a personalized rehabilitation plan.

Joint replacement rehabilitation will begin right after surgery. Rehabilitation from a surgery to correct a bone fracture or other injury will start with immobilization and/or casting before you start muscle strengthening.

Spine care

In addition to our orthopedic surgery services, we also provide comprehensive spine care solutions. You can count on our spine doctors in west Miami-Dade County to provide relief for your back, neck or spine pain.
