Open Visitation, 7 days per week

To best serve our community and patients we have open visitation. All visitors must check in at the front desk or ER desk for a visitor sticker

  • The front entrance closes at 6:00 pm. After 6:00 pm visitors should enter through the ER and get a visitor sticker.
  • Inpatient rooms- No limit on the number of visitors or visiting hours
  • Outpatient/Day surgical patients- Visitors permitted after surgery
    • Visitors can wait in the lobby, cafeteria or second floor waiting area
  • ER patients- visitors are permitted
  • ICU patients- visitors are permitted
  • Children are allowed to visit with an adult
  • Mental health and wellness unit:
    • Visitation three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Sundays
    • Patients may have no more than two visitors at one time. Adults only.

Wi-Fi access

HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital operates a wireless (Wi-Fi) network for our patients and guests. Using your Wi-Fi-enabled device, you can access many internet resources (email and websites) from just about anywhere in the hospital. We're happy to provide this free and reliable service to our patients and visitors, and getting connected is easy.

  • Our hospital campus is easy to navigate and offers a relaxed and serene environment
  • Free and convenient parking is available in the parking garage or under the scenic trees. All parking is a very short distance from our main entrance
  • During business hours our courtesy cart drivers provide rides from your car to our front entrance
  • Our cafeteria is open for visitors
