Our cardiac rehab program

Comprehensive and accredited cardiac rehab services

We are one of the only hospitals in Seminole and West Volusia counties to provide comprehensive cardiovascular and cardiopulmonary care. As part of this, we offer access to complete cardiac rehab services. Patients may enter our outpatient cardiac rehab program after receiving inpatient rehabilitative care at our hospital, or they may be referred to our program as part of their initial care plan.

This dedication to specialized cardiac and respiratory rehabilitation has earned our program certification by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

Benefits of our outpatient cardiac rehab program

Our cardiac rehab program is designed to improve endurance, strength and confidence through the support of our cardiac rehab team. Patients who participate in cardiac rehab after surgeries or heart events reduce their risks of needing future heart services.

We offer monitored exercise with a state-of-the-art telemetry system, supervised by licensed nurses. Our telemetry system alerts our team to any abnormal heart changes during an exercise session. This allows us to provide the appropriate intervention before symptoms occur.

Our cardiac rehab team

Our cardiac rehab team includes registered nurses and registered exercise physiologists. We strive to help our patients throughout their recovery by improving their sense of well-being and quality of life.

Throughout the 12-week program, our cardiac rehab team is available to answer any health-related questions and provide guidance for living a heart-healthy lifestyle.
