Women's care in Inverness
Our women's care program offers breast health exams and screenings, breast cancer treatment and gynecological care as well as maternity care for expecting mothers.
At HCA Florida Citrus Hospital, our women's care team is made up of specialists that include experienced obstetrician-gynecologists (OB/GYNs), radiologists, oncologists and nurse practitioners. Your care team is dedicated to providing you with compassionate treatment in a safe, comfortable environment. Whether you are pregnant, in need of contraception counseling or seeking help with managing menopause, our providers are here to partner with you in your healthcare journey.
Labor and delivery services
The maternity suites at our Women and Baby Center are newly renovated and feature spacious rooms and private bathrooms. There is also room for a loved one to stay overnight and we offer a special meal to celebrate your new arrival. Our nursery provides advanced monitoring technology so your child is safe and healthy during their stay. We also offer a childbirth education course that covers a variety of topics for new parents.
Gynecological services
Our OB/GYNs provide a wide range of care including routine pelvic exams, infertility counseling, menopause management and treatment for menstruation issues. We also offer minimally invasive and robot-assisted surgery for pelvic prolapse and gynecological cancers.
Breast health services
Our breast imaging services are accredited by the American College of Radiology. We offer screening and diagnostic services including digital and 3D mammograms, breast ultrasounds and minimally invasive biopsy, as well as bone density screenings for osteoporosis.

Breast cancer treatment
Depending on the stage of breast cancer, we offer comprehensive treatment options including chemotherapy, radiation as well as surgical procedures including lumpectomy, mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.
