Leeanne Franklin named director of Rehabilitation Services for two hospitals

Leeanne Franklin, OTR/L, will oversee Rehabilitation Services at two hospitals, including St. Petersburg Hospital and Pasadena Hospital.

TAMPA, FL - HCA Healthcare’s Post Acute Services team is pleased to announce the promotion of Leeanne Franklin, OTR/L, to her expanded role as director of rehabilitation services for two hospitals. Leeanne will continue to oversee operations of HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital’s Inpatient Rehabilitation service, as well as acute therapy and outpatient services at both Pasadena Hospital and HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy.    Leeanne brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role with more than 30 years’ of rehabilitation experience.   

“Leeanne has a long-standing commitment to our mission of providing the best possible care to our patients,” says Brent Burish, chief executive officer of HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital and HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital.  “Her tenured experience throughout Pinellas County will support both HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital and HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital to continue to provide excellent therapy services to all of the communities whom we serve.” 

Leeanne moved to Largo from Australia where she joined the team at what is now HCA Florida Largo West.  During her time at Largo West, Leeanne held a variety of leadership roles including therapy director, PPS coordinator, rehab director and acting director of Case Management/Med-Surgical Services.  Additionally, Leeanne oversaw the 10 bed rehabilitation unit’s expansion and renovation.

Under Leeanne’s leadership, the Inpatient Rehabilitation at HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital has been awarded Top Performer by Uniform Data System (UDS) for three consecutive years.
