“I had been receiving treatment for atrial fibrillation, and it was just a matter of time before I developed stiffness in my aorta. As a result, I was getting fatigued very easily. My doctor was closely monitoring the condition of my aorta and eventually we scheduled the surgery. Family and friends have demonstrated an outpour of support through countless cards and prayers, and the medical and Rehab teams have been great. I’m a very active person and as I recover I want to get back to doing everything I enjoy doing without experiencing fatigue. But more importantly, I’m just hoping to live longer because I want to see my grandchildren graduate.”
