Pinellas County, FL – HCA Florida Largo Hospital, Northside Hospital, Pasadena Hospital and St. Petersburg Hospital are a part of HCA Florida Healthcare, the state’s leading network of hospitals and healthcare facilities.  They collectively showed up for its third annual statewide We Show Up for Our Communities month of service in April.  The team volunteered with Keep Pinellas Beautiful providing more than 120 volunteer hours from 60 colleagues, and collecting over 45 pounds of trash off Redington Beach in Pinellas County.

“This is a way to nurture and water the heart, a sense of servitude and community. It brings us together and it allows us to go back to the hospital fully inspired to provide better care for our community” shared Odun Atunrase, chief nursing officer at HCA Florida Northside Hospital.

“It's really great to have corporate groups, like HCA Healthcare demonstrate their respect for the environment and just how important they believe it is getting their employees out to engage with each other, work together and help clean up our Pinellas County beaches,” shared Megan Jackson, program director for Keep Pinellas Beautiful.

HCA Florida Healthcare colleagues came together to show up for the Pinellas community in a variety of other ways too, including:

  • Feeding Tampa Bay Cereal for Summer Program: over 650 donated meals
  • Reach St. Petersburg: 197 pounds of donated food
  • Lealman and Asian Neighborhood Family Center: 30 pounds of donated food
