Gastroenterology services and treatments we offer
GI care
We offer a variety of procedures that can be used to both screen for and treat GI conditions, including:
Capsule pH testing
Capsule pH testing is a procedure used to help evaluate patients with chronic acid reflux by measuring the acidity (pH) of the esophagus. During the test, a small capsule is lowered into the esophagus to measure how much acid is flowing back up, or refluxing, from the stomach.
Colonoscopy
A colonoscopy is one of the most common routine screening options to detect colon cancer. During a colonoscopy, a small scope with a camera is used to examine the bowel’s interior surface for abnormalities, such as polyps.
Upper endoscopy
An upper endoscopy is a procedure used to examine the upper portion of the digestive tract — this includes the esophagus, stomach and duodenum (the top portion of the small intestine). During the procedure, a small scope with a camera is inserted through the mouth to look for any abnormalities or polyps.
Hemorrhoid treatments
We offer a variety of treatments and services to help patients who are experiencing hemorrhoids. These include:
- Diet education
- Medications
- Procedures to remove the hemorrhoids
