Our cardiac treatments and services

To make sure you and your heart get the high-quality care you deserve, our heart doctors use advanced cardiovascular imaging and surgical techniques to diagnose and treat various heart conditions.

Advanced heart failure care

If you continue to experience severe symptoms, such as intense swelling or chest pain, after undergoing conventional heart treatments, you may have advanced heart failure. There is no known cure for advanced heart failure. However, there are treatment options that focus on managing and reducing symptoms.

Our board-certified cardiologists specialize in this treatment and offer a variety of care options, such as:

  • Coronary angioplasty
  • Coronary artery bypass graft
  • Heart transplant
  • Installation of permanent implantable devices
  • Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
  • Traditional heart surgery

Electrophysiology

Our skilled electrophysiologists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias, such as atrial fibrillation (AFib) and atrial flutters, by analyzing your heart's electrical pathways. In addition to offering comprehensive electrophysiology services, including catheter ablations, we insert devices such as implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) and pacemakers.

Heart screening and imaging

We offer a variety of diagnostic services to assess your heart condition. Our team is able to perform:

  • Cardiac catheterization
  • Echocardiograms (ECGs)
  • Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
  • Peripheral vascular angiography
  • Renal angiography
  • Stress testing

Cardiac catheterization services

Our state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratory (cath lab) is equipped with a specialized imaging system that allows doctors to see the blood vessels of the heart. During this minimally invasive procedure, X-ray dye is inserted into the coronary arteries to detect any blockages.

Heart attack care

The most important factor in the treatment of a developing heart attack is getting emergency care quickly. Most of the damage sustained from a heart attack occurs within the first two hours. If it's recognized during this time period, we have a much greater chance of decreasing the damage to your heart muscle and improving your overall treatment and recovery.

As a Chest Pain Center accredited by the American College of Cardiology, we use a protocol-driven approach to heart care at our hospital. This allows us to reduce time-to-treatment during the critical first stages of a heart attack. We are able to offer advanced care, better outcomes, enhanced quality of life and faster treatment.

Signs of a heart attack

Many times, people may experience these early heart attack symptoms:

  • Anxiety
  • Back pain
  • Chest pressure, squeezing or discomfort
  • Fatigue
  • Feeling of fullness
  • Jaw pain
  • Nausea
  • Pain that travels down one or both arms
  • Shortness of breath

If you suspect you are having a heart attack, immediately call 911.

Interventional and structural cardiology

Our interventional and structural cardiologists provide minimally invasive, catheter-based procedures for valve disease or other structural heart conditions. We specialize in the following:

  • Complex coronary artery interventions, including atherectomy
  • Coronary artery obstruction stenting
  • Mechanical circulatory support
  • Patent foramen ovale closure
  • Peripheral arterial interventions for both above and below the knee peripheral arterial disease
  • Transcatheter mitral valve interventions
  • Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVR)
