‌HCA Florida Englewood Hospital is proud to collaborate with our medical staff in supporting the Leadership Englewood Class of 2024 and their First Responders Monument project.‌

As part of this initiative, the class presented a $3,700 check to Chief Kevin Easton to fund ongoing education programs, including Train 4 Life, Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT), and other essential certifications for his team.‌

Chief Nursing Officer Andrea Truex emphasized the importance of recognizing first responders, stating, “Emergency responders are the first on the scene, assessing and providing critical medical care to those in need. Our medical staff is honored to support this project as a tribute to their unwavering dedication and the life-saving measures they perform every day.”‌

Hospital board members Karl Bennett and Doug Izzo joined Chief Nursing Officer Andrea Truex for a photo in front of the newly established memorial, which honors past and present first responders from the Englewood Fire District, Charlotte County Fire & EMS, Sarasota County Fire & EMS, Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, North Port Fire Rescue, and Sarasota County Schools Police.‌

‌We are grateful for the gift from our medical staff to support the Leadership Englewood project in our community.
