‌During Celebrate Literacy Week, HCA Florida Englewood Hospital CEO Kelly Lindsay sat down with 1st grade students at Vineland Elementary School to read.

‌‌The program is designed to raise awareness about the importance of reading and to inspire Florida's students and families to make reading part of their daily routines.

The class enjoyed a story called "Dog Breath, The Horrible Trouble with Hally Tosis." Hally was the family dog who had bad breath but became an invaluable watchdog.‌

Kelly said, "We know that reading strengthens brain connections, improves memory and concentration, which contribute to overall mental health of these students. It was such a pleasure reading about Hally with these kids."
