CMH expands visitor hours beginning May 7
Citrus Memorial Hospital is enacting a modified visitor policy beginning Friday, May 7.
INVERNESS, FL — Citrus Memorial Hospital is enacting a modified visitor policy beginning Friday, May 7.
The policy allows one visitor per patient from 10am to 3pm, 7 days per week with exceptions for the Women and Baby Center, COVID-19 units and end-of-life situations. Authorized visitors will be screened and asked specific questions. They must practice hand sanitization upon entering the hospital and upon entering and exiting the patient's room.
The modified policy is as follows:
Inpatient Units – One visitor per patient is permitted with the following exceptions:
- Women and Baby Center: Two visitors are allowed and one may stay overnight post-partum
- Coronavirus (COVID-19) Units: For the protection of our patients, visitors, and caregivers, we do not allow visitors to visit COVID-19 patients; nor do we allow visitors to visit those undergoing investigation for COVID-19.
- End of Life: Exceptions can be made for end of life situations; they must be approved by the hospital Administrator on Call (AOC) or administration.
Emergency Room – One visitor is allowed per patient in the ER.
Patients Undergoing Procedures – One visitor is allowed per patient. The visitor must remain in a designated waiting area. If the patient is admitted, the visitor can visit with the patient after they are admitted to their room.
Anyone under the age of 18 will not be considered for visitation unless they are the parent of a hospitalized child.
