Inverness, FL — HCA Florida Citrus Hospital will present a cardiology seminar on Tuesday, March 25 at 2pm at the Citrus Memorial Health Foundation YMCA, located at 4127 W. Norvell Bryant Hwy in Lecanto.

Heart disease is the number one killer of women in the United States, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. That’s one woman every minute. “Women’s Heart Health” will feature a presentation from cardiovascular disease fellow Dr. Arushi Sharma.

The seminar will focus on the unique risks and symptoms of heart disease in women, which can be overlooked or misdiagnosed. Dr. Sharma will discuss the latest research, preventive strategies and lifestyle changes that can significantly reduce the risk of heart-related issues.

“As heart disease remains the leading cause of death among women, it’s crucial to provide them with the knowledge and tools to protect their heart health,” said Dr. Sharma. “This seminar will address how women’s cardiovascular needs differ from men’s and why early detection and proactive care are so important.

A brief question and answer session will follow.

Seating is limited so an RSVP is required to attend. Call (855) 422-8474 or visit the HCA Florida Healthcare.com website to reserve your seat.
