Hudson, FL — HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is spreading holiday cheer by donating more than 1,200 toys to Chasco K-8 Community School, part of Pasco County School District.  These toys will serve as Christmas gifts for students, ensuring that children in need experience the joy of the season.

This initiative reflects the hospital’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the community it serves.  According to recent data from the Pasco County School District, nearly 60% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, a key indicator of economic need.  For many families, holiday gifts can be a financial challenge, making community support essential.

“At HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital, we believe that caring for our community goes beyond the walls of our hospital,” said Sally Seymour, CEO of HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. “The holidays should be a time of joy for every child and we are honored to help make that possible for families in Pasco County.”

The donation was coordinated in partnership with Chasco K-8 Community School, which serves hundreds of students from diverse backgrounds.  Teachers and staff will distribute the toys to ensure that every child has something special to open this Christmas.

This effort is part of HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital’s broader mission to support local families through volunteerism, charitable giving, and community engagement programs throughout the year.
