When Rebekah Shabeeb learned she was expecting her first child in 2018, Oviedo Medical Center had just celebrated its first birthday. Rebekah and her husband, Gideon took a tour and fell in love with the labor and delivery unit, especially the LDRP (labor delivery recovery post partum) suites, allowing the family to stay in one room for every phase of the baby’s birth.

Since their first son, Xavier, was born, the Shabeeb family has grown to a family of seven, welcoming Rozi in 2019, Lilli in 2021, Tritan in 2022 and Izzi in 2024. All along the way, they found an extended family providing world class care with all the comforts of home at Oviedo Medical Center.

“When we first visited Oviedo Medical Center we appreciated the convenience and comfort of their birthing suites, but every experience was enhanced by the family-centered care we received with each of our babies,” Rebekah said. “We found not only a place of comfort, but also many familiar faces during each birth experience that made us feel at home.”
