In 2023, HCA Florida Trinity Hospital was honored to support many local organizations through donations, sponsorships, and volunteerism. Sponsoring a new K9 for the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office was one of those opportunities. As part of our sponsorship, we were able to assist with naming the K9. Our K9 is a therapy dog partnered with Corporal Ortiz. Out of 50 names and 18 departments that submitted names Corporal Ortiz chose Milo. Milo means warrior or caregiver, fitting for his role. Dogs named Milo are often perceived as approachable and playful, creating an immediate bond with those around them. We look forward to this continued partnership. Our colleagues enjoyed meeting Milo when he came to visit for his name reveal celebration!
