St. Petersburg, FL — HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital is proud to announce the successful completion of its first Transoral Outlet Reduction (TORe) procedure, marking a significant advancement in the hospital’s commitment to innovative, patient-centered care.

The procedure was performed by gastroenterologist Dr. Gurneet Bedi. TORe is a minimally invasive endoscopic procedure designed to help patients who have experienced weight regain after gastric bypass surgery. By reducing the size of the gastrojejunal anastomosis, TORe can restore satiety and support long-term weight management without the need for additional surgery.

“This milestone reflects our dedication to expanding access to cutting-edge treatments that improve quality of life,” said Jamie Carden-Jennings, director of surgical services, HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital. “We are incredibly proud of Dr. Bedi and our surgical team for bringing this advanced option to our community.”

The hospital’s first TORe procedure highlights HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital’s growing role as a destination for advanced gastrointestinal care in Pinellas County and beyond.
