Interfaith reaps surplus furniture donation from HCA Florida West Marion Hospital
HCA Florida West Marion Hospital is again proud to support Interfaith Emergency Services through a donation of surplus office furniture.
Interfaith's team on August 7 picked up numerous wooden desks, bookcases, filing cabinets, and other items from the hospital. Karla Greenway, Interfaith's chief executive officer, said the donation helps by providing furnishings for the nonprofit's offices, shelter, and supportive housing units.
"As a charity we do our best to spend as much of every dollar as possible on the services we offer our clients. With partners like HCA Florida West Marion Hospital sharing their quality office furniture with us, we don't have to go out and purchase it. We get top quality furnishings for our offices and don't have to divert a dime away from our clients' needs," Greenway said. "This is an incredible blessing and allows us to make the most of every dollar from our generous donors. Thank you to HCA Florida West Marion Hospital for supporting Interfaith in so many ways."
HCA Florida West Marion CEO Isaiah Zirkle noted, "We were happy to make this donation to Interfaith. We know how important Interfaith is to the community and that they need to devote as much of their resources as possible to caring for their clients. We welcomed this opportunity to save them some of those resources for their primary mission."
