Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Certification awarded to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital
Aventura, FL — HCA Florida Aventura Hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Heart Association’s Heart-Check mark for Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification.
HCA Florida Aventura Hospital underwent a rigorous onsite review on October 23-24, 2025. During the visit, a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with related certification standards including management and treatment of hemorrhagic strokes through coil embolization, clippings and flow diverters. Joint Commission standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. The reviewers also conducted onsite observations and interviews.
